July 30, 2020 MOU

The following information was sent to the Olathe Bargaining Unit from Brent Yeager on behalf of Professional Council:

Over the past few weeks, Professional Council has been meeting to determine what areas need to be addressed within a newly created MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) (found under Bargaining in menu above) to facilitate the opening of schools for the 2020-2021 school year. The areas to be voted on by the bargaining unit and the Olathe Board of Education, as part of the MOU, are related to COVID-19 leave, the 2020-2021 professional development calendar, and the 2020-2021 school year calendar. All Kansas schools all being held to the 1,116 hours of instruction for students regardless of the learning environment (in-person, remote, hybrid).

The MOU will be voted on by the bargaining unit starting on Monday, August 3. An email with specific voting instructions will come from Leigh Anne Rogers, ONEA President, on Monday.
